Mandie Winston

Mandie Winston is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of innovation and leadership in the charity and international development sectors. Mandie holds a M.S. in international relations and development economics from the New School in New York and a B.A. from UCLA in Jewish History. Mandie’s background in community development began in London as a youth movement leader where she led some of the first ever Jewish camps in the former Soviet Union after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Mandie also served as JDC's Regional Director of the Africa and Asia Region delivering education, social services and community development initiatives for remnant and emerging Jewish communities in India, China and North Africa. Mandie spent 18 years at the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), rising through the ranks to become its Executive Director for global disaster and international development programs working in communities across the globe. She has been the Chief Executive Officer at United Jewish Israel Appeal, a London-based charity providing education programs to enhance young British Jew’s connection to Israel, since 2020 and currently sits on the board of the Nala Foundation, an Israel NGO working in Ethiopia to eradicate diseases of poverty.
